A reserve reconnaissance commander was found dead in his California home earlier this month.

The Corps was informed of the passing of Lt. Col. Adam L. Collier, commanding officer of 4th Reconnaissance Battalion based in San Antonio, on March 11, Military.com reported Wednesday.

Officials with the Los Angeles coroner’s office have ruled the incident a suicide following an investigation by the Hermosa Beach, California, police department.
